INTRODUCTION

This year SAH has organized the second “Corporate Workshop” of almost 140 participants from all functions within the NAFTA region. We may all come from different backgrounds but we all share the same vision - PASSION in Seed!

This Corporate Workshop has been called “IKIGAI” as the meaning brings to life Sakata’s strategy of achieving “Passion 2025”.

The 2022 IKIGAI meeting will be held in Sacramento, California from June 7th to the 9th, 2022.

A decision will be taken as to when, and in what format, subsequent IKIGAI meetings will take place, but if and when they do, the name IKIGAI will stay.

WHY THE IKIGAI MEETING?

Need for a different type of meeting
As this team continues to grow, there's a consistent need to have a meeting with managers and specialists from various functions and locations, to discuss PASSION 2025 and its objectives from an NAFTA perspective. The region has many different subsidiaries and it is important that we all work together, with clarity, to achieve success.

MEETING OBJECTIVES

Meeting Objectives
To ensure that all participants have a clearer understanding of the business objectives of PASSION 2025 as well as the business plans and projects supporting PASSION 2025, so that these may be shared with all teams throughout the NAFTA regions and form a solid base from which further plans and projects will be implemented to achieve our stakeholders’ expectations.

At the end of the week, participants should:

  • Acknowledge and appreciate our Journey of Transformation.
    • What got us here…?
    • What are we doing today?
    • Where are we going…?
    • How will we get there…?
  • Recognize how we, as individuals, specialists and leaders of teams can contribute to PASSION 2025 within our own sphere of work.
  • Use the meeting platform to establish relations and networks to facilitate communication and teamwork across NAFTA.
